Samsung Galaxy S22 and the S22 Plus are two out of the three flagships the manufacturer announced in February 2022 as direct successors to the S21 and S22 Plus.

Following the launch of these devices, fans of the Tech giant flooded the internet including social media with questions about them. They want to know what the devices have.

I have picked out the most asked questions and in this write-up, I will answer them in short and easy-to-digest words and sentences or paragraphs.

It is worth noting that I might occasionally use S22 to represent both S22 and the S22 Plus except where it matters that I distinguish them as they have a lot in common.

Does Samsung S22 Have SD Card Slot?

No. There is no expandable memory slot otherwise known as the SD card slot on the S22 and S22 Plus. You, however, have the option to choose between 128GB or 256GB internal storage options. If storage means a lot to you, I think that you should either go for the 256GB variant or get the S22 Ultra which has the option for 1TB internal storage.

Does Samsung S22 Have Headphone Jack?

No. Both the S22 and S22 Plus do not have the 3.5mm headphone jack and I don’t think any Samsung flagships going forward will come with one. My major reason is the amount of revenue that the Samsung galaxy buds generate for the company.

Another reason I believe it won’t be making a comeback in the future with any flagship is that the phone sitting at the top of their mid-range segment; the Samsung galaxy A73 5G which was launched in mid-March 2022 does not come with one either.

Does Samsung S22 Have Curved Screen?

The Galaxy S22 and its Plus variant have a flat screen or display with a very tiny bezel across the sides, top, and bottom. A flat display means fewer unintended touches and interruptions by your hands or fingers.

Yes. Samsung S22 supports NFC (Near Field Communication) which is a prerequisite for using Samsung Pay, Google Pay, and other contactless methods of payment on your smartphone. There are a few other uses of the NFC on your Android devices but payment is the most popular one.

No, there is no charger or power adapter inside the box with the S22 and S22 Plus. If you don’t already have one, make sure you go for one that is recommended by Samsung. You should know that the S22 only supports 25 Watts fast charging while the S22 Plus supports up to 45 Watts fast charging.

Does Samsung S22 Have Screen Protector?

No. Neither the S22 nor the S22 Plus comes with a tempered glass or screen protector. You will have to buy one yourself if you think you need it. They are, however, both protected by the strongest glass at the time of their launch.

While the Galaxy S22 is a 6.1-inches display smartphone with its brightness maxed out at 1300 nits, comes with a 3700 mAh battery, and supports 25 watts of fast charging.

The S22 Plus is a 6.6-inches display smartphone with 1750 nit max brightness, 4500 mAh battery, and supports up to 45 watts of fast charging.

Both devices are powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset which has Adreno 730 GPU on board and runs on One UI 4.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
