List of Samsung Phones with USB Type C

Virtually all Samsung phones you can get your hands on right now comes with a USB port and ship with a Type-C cable. USB Type-C is a great improvement and a worthy upgrade over the micro-USB. This is why this write-up is going to be about Samsung phones with USB Type C including the versions they are using.

Samsung galaxy note 7 was the first Samsung phone to feature USB C in 2016. Note 7 and a couple of devices after it, featuring Type-C USB such as the S8 and S8 Plus were shipped with a micro-USB to Type-C adapter to make backward compatibility with the previous generation easier and possible.

Among the few reasons that USB C was widely accepted and fast too was because it is convenient to use; there is no wrong way of using it.

There is no top or bottom, you can plug it in both ways, and it will work. Another is the data transfer rate which is fast for both sending and receiving files.

Final Thought

Most Samsung phones you can find around today come with a USB Type-C port and cable. The only difference is their version which determines how fast files are being sent as well as the amount of power it can deliver to your phone at a time.

Most Samsung mid-range and entry-level phones come with Type-C 2.0 while the flagships come with either Type-C 3.1 or Type-C 3.2 depending on when it was announced. For example, most of their high-end phones announced since 2020 use version 3.2.
