In this write-up, I will talk about Samsung phones with triple camera and the details of the lenses available on them.
Most flagships and some mid-range smartphones launched since 2019 come with at least 3 cameras. The main and ultra-wide lens/camera is the sure two while the third camera can be a telephoto lens, periscope telephoto lens, macro lens, or ToF (time of flight) sensor.
You should know that a triple camera doesn’t always mean great photography capabilities, I mean there are mid-range Samsung phones with quad cameras that are nothing to write home about.
So, while choosing a phone for its camera or photography, make sure they are good one. For three cameras, I will stay away from phones with a macro lens. You are better off with a telephoto lens as the third camera alongside the Main (Wide) and Ultra-Wide lenses.

Final Thought
Three cameras can be better than two if it is a good third camera. As I said earlier, the preferred Samsung phones with triple camera are the ones that have a wide-angle lens, an ultra-wide lens, and a telephoto lens.
With many tech companies working on metaverse, we might see a comeback of Samsung phones with a ToF sensor or not. We will know when the time comes.
That setup is better than pairing wide-angle and ultra-wide lenses with a Macro lens. On an Android phone, most Macro lenses are just not that great.
