List of Samsung Phones with MediaTek Processor
Let’s talk about Samsung phones with MediaTek processor. One of the top players when it comes to smartphone processing power is MediaTek; a Taiwan-based Silicon chip maker. This processor power phones of different price brackets by different manufacturers.

MediaTek and Other Mobile Phone Processors
MediaTek’s Dimensity 1000 series used to be the ones powering their flagship phones. But right now, some of those processors are being used on mid-range phones while their latest flagship processor is the Dimensity 1200.
The Dimensity 700, 800, and 900 series power their 5G mid-range phones, and their 4G mid-range phones are powered by the G series; processors that are optimized for gaming.
They also have the lower end of their G series powering their entry-level phones, though not optimized for gaming. Before the G series, their mid-range chipset was the P series.
MediaTek chipsets are in direct competition with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon, Samsung’s Exynos, and Huawei’s Kirin.
Qualcomm chips don’t just power more smartphones than others but also produce more powerful processors. Here is a list of Samsung phones that have a snapdragon processor for you to check out.
They are followed by MediaTek when it comes to powering more phones but the same can’t really be said about being more powerful than Exynos and Kirin at least not in all aspects.
One of the reasons Qualcomm and MediaTek power more Android phones is that they are being used by all manufacturers while Exynos and Kirin are in-house chips by Samsung and Huawei respectively and as such are only used on their own smartphones only.
You can compare that to Apple’s A-series bionic chips that have been powering iPhones for a couple of years now or Google’s in-house Silicon chip – Google Tensor.
Final Thought
MediaTek processors have come a long way from being a chip known for overheating when intensely used to one of the most used and powerful smartphone processors out there.
They have invested a lot in both the capabilities and cooling technology of their chips and right now, the world is their oyster.
Samsung A32 5G is one of the most powerful mid-range smartphones out there and it uses a MediaTek processor, you can expect more Samsung phones to be powered by their chipsets in the near future.
At least in the mid-range segment. As you must have noticed, most Samsung smartphones with MediaTek processors is their budgeted phones.
