Samsung phones with face recognition allow you to unlock your smartphone using just your face. It is a less secure security measure than fingerprint, PIN, pattern, and password. In this write-up, I will list out all the galaxy phones that come with this feature.

Face recognition feature or Face unlock as some will call it, was introduced to galaxy phones with the S8 and S8 Plus. Today, pretty much every Samsung phone you can get your hands on has this feature. Irrespective of whether it is a flagship, mid-range, or entry-level device.

This security measure can easily be defeated using your picture, video, or someone that resembles you such as a sibling or twin.

Final Thought

There are many ways to lock your device. Personally, I don’t think the face unlock feature is a secure one since it can easily be manipulated and misused.

Mis-used in the sense that, someone can unlock your phone if they can get it in front of your face even if you don’t consent to it.

Manipulated in the sense that, an image or video of you can be used to unlock your device. The same thing can be achieved by just using someone that looks like you such as your siblings or twin.

In my opinion, you are better off with a fingerprint, PIN, or Password. You might want to check here for the Samsung phones that have a fingerprint sensor as well as their positioning and types.
