Is Samsung Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra Water Resistant?
Yes, the Samsung S23 family which comprises the Galaxy S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra are IP68 certified which means that they are dust and water-resistant (not waterproof) up to 1.5 meters for up to 30 minutes.
Now some words of advice, just because it is water, sand, and dust resistant doesn’t mean you should drop it inside water and leave it there for hours and expect your phone to work just fine when you come back to remove it.
It shouldn’t be more than 30 minutes and the water should not be more than 1.5m deep. So, to be on the safe side, try and keep it away from water for less than 30 minutes and do not take it deep for up to 1.5 meters.
If you accidentally dropped the phone in any other liquid other than freshwater such as coke, the manufacturer says you should immediately rinse it in fresh water and dry it off with a clean dry cloth.
The Samsung S23 family has been subjected to different durability tests since they were launched and they have been quite impressive in many of these tests.
