Does Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, S23 Plus, and S23 Have Edge Lighting?
Yes, the Samsung S23 series which comprises the Galaxy S23, S23 Ultra, and S23 Plus supports Edge Lighting.
Edge Lighting replaced LED notifications on the latest Samsung phones that come with one of the Infinty-O, Infinity-U, or Infinity-V displays.
This features uses the edge of a Galaxy phone or the ring around the selfie camera as a notification indicator to tell you that you have a notification from a particular app depending on your Settings or customization.
To turn On or turn Off Edge Lighting on Samsung S23, S23 Plus, and S23 Ultra, Navigate to Settings -> Notifications -> Notification Pop-Up Style -> Brief Pop-Up -> Toggle On or Off Edge Lighting.
Once turned ON, you can customize it to your taste such as choosing what different colors means i.e assigning different colors to different notifications. For example, you can use Red for SMS, green for missed calls, etc.
You can also choose if you want to use the entire edge of the phone or the ring around the front-facing camera as the notification indicator. You can select which app you want Edge Lighting to work with.
There is also an option for you to choose if you want the Edge Lighting working Always, or only when the display is ON or only when the display is Off.
You also have the option to set a duration for the Edge Lighting after which it will stop and many more customizations.
