Do Samsung Galaxy A34 5G and A54 5G Have FM Radio and a 3.5mm Headphone Jack?
No, Samsung did not include FM Radio support and a 3.5mm headphone jack inside the Galaxy A34 5G and Galaxy A54 5G.
If you take a look around both devices, you will immediately realize that neither of them comes with the legacy audio jack hardware.
At the top of the A34 5G and A54 5G resides the Sim + SD card slot and a microphone while at the bottom, you have the speaker, USB Type-C port, and two microphones.
On the left-hand side of the A34 5G and A54 5G is nothing while on the right-hand side are the volume and power buttons.
They are not the first Samsung mid-range smartphones that do not come with FM Radio and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This trend started with the Samsung A33 5G, A73 5G, and Samsung A53 5G.
Both features have been removed from their flagship phones for a few years now. You can expect this trend to reach entry-level phones soon.
Samsung did not give any tangible reasons for not including the 3.5mm headphone jack on the A34 and A54 but since wireless earbuds is a huge market for smartphone manufacturers, it is not a surprise that most of them (Including Samsung) now ship smartphones with the headphone jack.
I also believe numerous users are starting to prefer wireless earbuds to traditional wired earphones, especially those that can afford to get one.
Personally, I don’t think that will be going back on this. The 3.5mm headphone jack will most probably not make a comeback.
The options available now are either to get a wireless earbud such as the Galaxy Earbuds or get a USB Type-C to 3.5mm jack adapter/dongle if you really need the feature.
